WAGE WAR DROP VIDEO FOR EXPLOSIVE NEW SINGLE "MAGNETIC"

From the first time I heard the legendary cough followed by the BLEGH in “The River”, I became a fan of the Wage War. Naturally, when I heard a new single was coming, I couldn’t wait for it to drop. While known for their amazing contrast in harsh vocals from frontman Briton Bond and beautiful melodic vocals from guitarist Cody Quistad, Magnetic was a surprise for me that Wage War leaned more on the melodic side with little harsh vocals from Bond.

A slow-building ambience coupled with clean guitar tones perks my ears up immediately. We get to hear clean vocals from Bond, which is quite an unexpected surprise. Drums from Stephen Kluesner soon join while building towards the chorus. The harmonies between Bond and Quistad in the chorus send chills down my spine as the hairs on my arms stand straight up.

There’s a nice little bridge buildup, and we finally get the classic breakdown we all know and love. The hook in the song is so catchy and really sticks with you. The chorus is an earworm that will have you singing it all day. I’ve always appreciated the band's songwriting, and Magnetic is no different.

"'Magnetic' is a song about an attraction to someone that you just can't seem to quit," the band explains. "Despite knowing what may be best, we're pulled back to a feeling that inevitably takes control. Fate decides our future."

The band kicks off its Spring 2024 co-headline tour with NOTHING MORE on Tuesday, April 16 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and runs through Friday, May 17 in Indianapolis, IN.
