KoЯn to headline Gunnersbury Park Festival on August 11th
If someone knows any metal band, there’s a high chance that band is KoЯn. Not too many bands have kept the notoriety that KoЯn has had since their beginning in 1993 let alone be so popular that they’re headlining events along side non metal bands as they are in Gunnersbury Park in London next month.
Although tickets remain for the other four (4) days of the Gunnersbury Park events, the 11th of August date is sold out. And it’s really no surprise. With heavy hitters on the ticket from start to finish; opening for KoЯn we have Loathe, WARGASM, Spiritbox, and Denzel Curry. With KoЯn as the headliner, that’s going to be an insanely energetic concert that I’ll be eternally jealous of those already in attendance.
While some may know the name KoЯn but not be familiar with their discography, I promise you that you know a song or two. Their songs have landed on soundtracks for The Crow, Queen Of The Damned, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Spawn, End of Days, and Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life. And their influence doesn’t stop there. Throughout their time as a band, they’ve influenced others such as Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, Machine Head, Sepultura, and even everyone’s Metal Queen Amy Lee, of Evanescence.
