Sofia Isella pulled out all the stops in London last night
The Evening started with an upbeat set from Queen Kwong, that quickly turned into an acoustic set due to a blown amp but the crowd still thoroughly enjoyed it.
Next up was Sofia Isella!
Sofia Isella is known for her theatrical performances where she performs her songs that contain a lot of spoken prose, all while effortlessly switching between acoustic guitar, electric guitar, keys, and violin. Having opened for artists like Tom Odell and Melanie Martinez, she has honed her skills and knows how to put on a real performance for her audience.
She is able to captivate her audience all while sprawling around the stage and was absolutely mesmerising to watch. She had so much energy and was fully engaged with her crowd the whole night, while they sang her words back to her, she even went into the crowd to sing a track. The sold out show had her dancing all over the place and using all her props to create such a magical evening for everyone. The crowd cheered in between every single song!
London was her first ever headline show and the first show of this tour, she had so much confidence and was so in touch with the art she produces, fully embodying the music on stage, it was amazing to see and I’m sure she’ll only get better, the more shows she plays.
I’ve been wanting to see Sofia for a while now and she certainly didn’t disappoint, one of my favourite songs of the evening, was ‘Cacao and Cocaine’ and it was even better live! Other songs on the setlist that I really enjoyed include ‘I looked the Future in the Eyes, It’s mine’, ‘Hot Gum’, ‘Everybody Supports Women’ and ‘Us and Pigs’ of which some you may have heard from TikTok. She also played many unreleased songs and ended the night by revealing that she has a new single ‘Sex Concept’ out on August 16th and a new EP ‘I Can be Your Mother’ on September 5th.
Be sure to catch her on one of her upcoming dates if you can!
