Ruby Vectra

(she/her) - @rubyelectramusic

I'm an indie singer-songwriter with a pop obsession, drawing inspiration from queens like Lizzy McAlpine, Gracie Abrams and Holly Humberstone. I love exploring and pushing the versatility of my voice, so I love a stripped back gentle acoustic tune just as much as a powerful ballad to belt along with! I have just started out my artist journey and can't wait to see how things progress as I learn and broaden my community. My debut EP, things she left behind, is coming out in April this year.

At home, specifically on my bed in my childhood room

My recording app - who doesn't love those unhinged first draft voice notes?

Eva Cassidy, Avril Lavigne, Snow Patrol, The Wanted - a good range thanks to my parents and sisters

Who are your current biggest inspirations?
Holly Humberstone, Lizzy McAlpine and Gracie Abrams

By following my voice and leaning into the tunes and notes that felt right! I was shaped by music I listen to too and am still developing my sound and style for sure.

Playing a song that everyone knows really well, so it becomes a group performance with the crowd

Mid-song at my first ever gig, just before a big belty bridge, the music cut out… funny in hindsight, terrifying at the time!

To make even more musical friends and watch us all grow together

Are you working on anything at the moment?
