Pure Musical Euphoria: A Night With Halocene

HAWXX kicked off the electrifying night with a captivating performance, showcasing a mix of tracks from their recently released debut album Earth, Spit, Blood & Bones, as well as some beloved classics. Their commanding stage presence and powerful delivery left the audience exhilarated, further heightened by their engaging interactions with the crowd. By the end of their set, one couldn't help but feel empowered by the resonating feminist anthems that they fearlessly performed. Standout tracks such as "Bite (Holiness In Fuck)," "Trust Your Rage," and "Death Makes Sisters of Us All" struck a chord with fans, making it an absolute must to explore their music and experience their remarkable live shows.

Next up, Halocene took the stage, where Addie donned a mysterious black cape and a red skull mask, complemented by Bradley's sleek coordination in a red and black striped t-shirt. Opening their set with the mesmerizing original song "Maleficent," they seamlessly transitioned between their own compositions and a diverse range of rock covers. The crowd couldn't contain their excitement as Halocene flawlessly paid homage to iconic tracks such as "Killing in the Name" by Rage Against the Machine and "Numb" by Linkin Park.

The energy surged to new heights when they invited the exceptionally talented Lauren Babic to join them, lending her vocals to their powerful collaborative works and additional covers, including memorable renditions of Britney Spears' "Toxic," Evanescence's "Bring Me to Life," Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit," and many more iconic hits spanning artists like Billie Eilish, Nine Inch Nails, Sam Smith, Thirty Seconds to Mars, and System of a Down. The setlist, bursting with vibrant and well-known songs, ensured that each and every person in the audience could fully immerse themselves in the experience.

The alternative/rock/metal twist Halocene brought to mainstream pop tracks, combined with Lauren's impressive vocal prowess, made it impossible not to appreciate and embrace their unique reinterpretations. The evening as a whole proved to be a cathartic affair, with headbanging being the norm and the entire crowd relishing in the electrifying atmosphere. It was an unforgettable night that left everyone buzzing with a sense of pure musical euphoria.
