Lauren Babic Announces the release of “Let It Die” – her debut solo metal single out October 4th
Lauren Babic, a Toronto, Canada native now living in Nashville, TN, is no stranger to reimagining pop songs into heavy metal songs. Her infamous covers have garnered her millions of followers and streams and 100’s of millions of views. Famed for her roles in metalcore band Red Handed Denial and international supergroup CrazyEightyEight, Lauren is gearing up for the release of her highly anticipated first solo metal EP, produced by Adam Bentley (Arch Eco, Plini) and Lee Albrecht (Silverstein, The Devil Wears Prada, Hollow Front).
Let It Die is about finally realizing that you’ve been enduring a terrible relationship and realizing it’s time to let it go and move on...even if some bad habits are made along the way. It’s a conflicting feeling knowing something's bad for you, but you’re so used to it... that you keep going back to it.

Lauren: "It’s been very exciting to release my very first solo metal original song. I wanted to dive even deeper into exploring pop and metal fusion. Adam Bentley showed me a little demo awhile back (originally called “Hypermetal”) and I fell in love with the riff, which would later expand and become “Let It Die”. Adam’s guitar and production work has always been stellar with his band Arch Echo along with the rest of his hefty production catalog. It was a pleasure working with him to bring this track to life, and having my long-time producer Lee Albrecht do the vocal mix and master the track. It’s truly been the dream team!"
Let It Die is a huge moment for Lauren. It’s her first original song as a solo artist, and she absolutely crushed it. Known for fronting bands like Red Handed Denial and CrazyEightyEight, Babic steps out on her own with a killer mix of raw emotion and heavy energy.
Right from the first riff, Let It Die pulls you in and doesn’t let up. Babic’s screams are as intense as ever, but what really stands out is how seamlessly she blends her heavy screams with those beautiful melodic choruses. The song is packed with emotion, touching on themes like inner struggles and letting go, making it hit hard on both a personal and musical level.
The production is sharp, with massive guitars and driving drums that perfectly complement Babic’s vocals. As her debut solo track, Let It Die shows she’s not just a frontwoman for bands, she can hold her own as a solo artist. It’s a must listen for fans of metalcore and anyone who loves heavy music with a lot of heart. Babic has definitely set the bar high with this one, and it’s exciting to see where she goes from here.
