Honey Revenge is Back With a Buzzing New Track!

Honey Revenge’s latest single ‘Recipe for Disaster’ has just been released! It’s their first single since they dropped their debut album ‘Retrovision’ in June 2023. Honey Revenge have been making waves with their latest album with both the album and themselves being nominated as best breakthrough album and best international breakthrough artist at the Heavy Music Awards 2024. They are currently on a UK/EU headline tour where they are previewing this unreleased song to the lucky fans in attendance!

This track continues on from the album with the same themes of overthinking and mental health but with a new twist on their distinct sound. The track contains an alternative spin on pop-melodies intertwined with anthem-atic hooks and relatable lyrics. This is one for the overthinkers out there looking for a new song of the summer. Throughout the song, lead singer, Devin Papadol, ponders the uncertainties of the future, where she’s going to be a year from now and her struggles with change. This follows on nicely from the album, where they convey their intense feelings by combining the lyrics into pop songs that also showcase their emo roots.

Papadol explains that this song is about overthinking all the ‘what-ifs’ and those questions taking over, stopping you from enjoying the present moment and celebrating your achievements. Papadol explains that spiralling over the thoughts of ‘what could have been’ is a ‘recipe for disaster’ and portrays this throughout the song with catchy riffs and an up-beat tune. This may just be my new favourite Honey Revenge Song!

If you love this new song as much as I do! You can catch it at SlamDunk this weekend or on the EU leg of their tour or their upcoming US ‘Summer School’ tour with The Home Team, Scene Queen, Stand Atlantic, Magnolia Park and Letdown.
