Emergency Break's 'Everything You Make I Break' Review
London-based up-and-coming indie rock outfit, Emergency Break, release their third single, ‘Everything You Make I Break’, in June 7th, ahead of a huge summer of shows for the young 6-piece.
With a strong blend of classic brit-rock influences, the 4 minute track incorporates everything that's given Emergency Break their exciting reputation over their time as a band: their nostalgic sound, high energy, and personality that shine through all the band’s success over the last year. A catchy, high-gain guitar pattern persists throughout the single, mirroring the electric energy from the rhythm section - the drumwork is definitely a highlight, as usual - while frontman Leo delivers his distinctive vocals to fill out the mix and drive the lyrics into the listener’s mind.
While their previous tracks ‘IT’S OVER’ and ‘PYRO’ did a stellar job of solidifying the band’s sound and musical approach, ‘Everything You Make I Break’ feels like a massive step for the young London band, really embracing the earworm nature of their genre and channelling the influence of giants like Oasis, The Strokes and The Killers.
‘Everything You Make I Break’ is set to be one of the group’s strongest tracks yet, and I can't wait to hear it live.
You can catch Emergency Break live across the UK this summer, including a mammoth headline show at the O2 Academy Islington and their own festival ‘On the Meadow Fest’ at Signature Brew in August.
