Dying Oath release new single "Odyssey"
For those unfamiliar with Dying Oath, they’re a 5 piece, female fronted metal band from Southwest Virgina. With their intentional emphasis on blending 2000’s metalcore and modern metal, making sure to feature their vocalist’s scream as much as they can. That’s exceptionally clear in their new single “Odyssey.”
Starting with a faded riff, this song quickly builds up in to a classic metal anthem of not giving up and standing strong together. With guitars leading the way through this intro thanks to Josh Hagee and Ryan Enidcott on guitars and Joey McDaniel on bass, they’re quickly joined by Hogan Gammons on drums. Mindy Jackson, their vocalist, joins in with a strong opening line, “You can’t knock us down, we won’t stop til we die.”
The message of resilience continues throughout this song. This song is laced with the power and emotion that Jackson brings to all their vocals. With high energy instrumentals to back her vocals, this song is catchy and encouraging enough to keep on throughout the day and could be a great gym playlist add.
For those local to NC, you can catch them opening on Deadlands x Renesans tour at Hangar 1819 on Saturday November 2. Grab tickets below!
