"V.A.N." Single Review
"V.A.N." -Bad Omens & Poppy not ft Noah Sebastian- I can’t think of what this band needed more than this right now. After just deleting their socials due to (literally) overwhelming fan… attentiveness, I’m happy to hear what this song has to offer. Showcasing Bad Omens’ instrumentalists and the band’s overall ability to created a catchy metal song using EDM influences, this song puts emphasis on 3/4 of what makes them such a solid band. Which is sorely needed given the current climate of fan behavior.
One of the aspects of the ‘new age’ of metal that drew me into loving the genre has been the EDM influence and the ability to mix and match the genres. This song has that and more with Poppy’s vocals leading the way. Having never listened to her before, I’m excited for the rest of her discography given the range she brings to the song. With melodic sections well balanced with synthed sections and even some screams, this was such a great collab. And is a great teaser for their new album.
