A Sold out evening with Fletcher in London

The night started with Alessi Rose hyping up the crowd, ready for ARXX and Fletcher.  She performed her hit song ‘Eat Me Alive’ as well as ‘Say Your Mine’ and a cover of Chappell Roan’s ‘Pink Pony Club’. She had the most amazing vocals and is definitely an up-and-coming artist to keep your eyes on.

Next up was ARXX, with Clara on the Drums and Hanni on the guitar and vocals. Their songs were made for big sold-out venues like Eventim Apollo. Both their fanbase and stage presence has grown so much since I last saw them open for Muna. It was so nice to see them getting the appreciation and recognition they deserve. The drums combined with the guitar riffs and Hanni’s powerful voice during ‘Good Boy’ was so amazing to hear, I really hope it is released soon!

They performed their whole set with so much energy and got the crowd to join in by shouting lyrics back to them throughout. The fans had even made up a dance for “Crying in the Carwash’. They ended their set with “Ride or Die’ which was the perfect note to leave the crowd on ready for the main act.  If you’re a fan of rock, you should definitely go and check out their music.

The venue was fully sold out for night 2 with fans that had travelled from all over the world to see her. The room was full of love and queer joy that night and it was the most amazing atmosphere to be in, making the concert feel so much more special. Even Fletcher’s parents were in attendance for her biggest headline shows yet.

Fletcher started her set at the top of the platform where LED screens displayed amazing visuals with the song lyrics. Fletcher commanded everyone’s attention with so much power throughout the night. She started with ‘Maybe I Am’ off the new album ‘In Search of The Antidote’ before leading into ‘Sting’ from her previous album ‘Girl of My Dreams’. Before making her way down to the front of the stage to perform ‘Serial Heartbreaker’.

Cari danced around the stage all evening with a look of pure bliss on her face while interacting with her bandmates and the crowd. Sophie Potrykus on the bass was absolutely amazing and this was further showcased during ‘Shh…Don’t Say It’ and ‘If I Hated You’ while Lexii Lynn was shredding on the guitar.

The setlist included a perfect mix of songs off all her albums and EPs, of which all of them have been stuck in my head since the concert. She sang ‘Crush’ laying down on the platform while a moon was projected below her, and it was magical. Her vocals throughout the night continued to impress as she held out really long notes while the crowd all sang them back.

She read out signs and helped a fan name their baby and climbed up on the barrier to interact with fans all night long before making her way upstairs to the seated section to sing ‘Doing Better’ ensuring all fans got the same amazing experience regardless of where they were in the venue before returning to the stage to sing the iconic ‘Becky’s So Hot’ as the last song of the evening. This is a concert I will be thinking about for a while, it surpassed all expectations!

Be sure to get your tickets for Fletcher’s US tour if you can. You won’t regret it! Alessi Rose and ARXX have also just announced UK/EU tours too so don’t forget them!
